The company introduced the new service (SAPTCO Metro) in accordance with its strategic plan to develop the public transportation sector in the kingdom in order to attract new customers and to achieve all the economic, social and transportation goals of this project. Moreover, this plan is in harmony with the kingdom's vision for the future as it seeks to improve public transportation service between cities by introducing new means of transportation like trains and metro, who is considered to be very efficient and work with harmony with other means of transportation.
Saptco metro service consist of Metro, Tram, Mono-rail and regional trains. The company will be responsible of its operation and maintenance in the kingdom and all gulf countries in the future based on a strategic partnership contract signed with Ratp Dev french company that has an international reputation in public transportation field.
Ratp Dev maintain a strong presence in 12 countries and has 50 branches around the world. Moreover, the company is planing to expand operations around the world by adding more branches around the world as it is the biggest company who operate globaly and maintain public transportation services.
